5 days into pre-orders for my latest book – From Workout to Last Call – has been exciting, humbling and I have learned a lot of things along the way.

Exciting

My network, both old and new have surprised me and warmed my heart with their support. From former partners to new acquaintances, they have helped me to overcome the inertia of week 1. As of the writing of this blog, I’m about 8% to my goal. I have met with 3 people that have seen value in the story and are all doing cross promotions for me. I thank you all.

Humbling

You think you are a decent salesperson and have always been a friend of Marketing, but when it comes down to the details, I respect all of the professionals that I have worked with in the past. They are masters of their trades – website managers, integrators, trainers, promoters, list managers, content managers and story tellers. I respect you even more today as I reflect on the week that passed.

Lessons Learned

As a guy that has often used the terms “easy user interface” or “easy to use”, I have learned that some interfaces are better than others and some things are easy to use when in the hands of a professional or technical resource. I have used 4 different pieces of software this week and I’m sure that I will use more over the next 30 days.
